Small Jet Makes Emergency Landing In Everglades

BROWARD (CBSMiami) – A small jet made an emergency landing in the Everglades Wednesday night.

According to Broward Fire Rescue officials, two people were aboard the plane when it was put down east of U.S. 27 and north of Interstate 75.

The two people were taken to the Sawgrass Recreational Park before being released. BSO said there were no injuries.

The jet was identified as an Aero Vodochody L-39C. Its airworthiness is marked "experimental."

The plane is registered to Jet Fighters International Inc. in Coral Springs.

The FAA is investigating the incident.
