MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Miramar police have released a sketch of a man they say got trigger happy during a robbery gone wrong.

On July 17th, a female was jogging along Monarch Lakes Boulevard around 10 a.m. when a man, described as being in his early 20s, got out of a car and demanded her gold necklace.

When she refused to hand it over, the man struck her in the face with his gun and then shot her three times.

He then ran back to the waiting car, got in the passenger side and it sped off.

Miramar police said the car was described as being dark in color with tinted windows, possible a four door Nissan.

Anyone with information is urged to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS or go crimestoppersmiami.com.
