Shooting of 10-year-old boy in Pompano Beach under investigation

Child shot in Pompano Beach has non life threatening injuries

MIAMI - Pompano Beach Police are investigating the shooting of a 10-year-old boy on Thursday evening. 

It happened in the 1700 block of Northwest 4th Street.

Broward County Sheriff's deputies said the child suffered non-life-threatening injuries and that they were not the intended target of the incident.

No word on what led up to the shooting or whether any arrests have been made. Anyone with any information are asked to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at (954) 493-TIPS (8477).
