Several Injured In Weston Car Crash

WESTON (CBSMiami) – Deputies say four people were seriously injured in a crash in Weston.

It happened about 8 p.m. at the intersection of Royal Palm Boulevard and Weston Hills Drive.

The force of the impact left both cars severely damaged. The doors had to be removed from one of the cars in order to get the occupants out.

A family member said two teenagers were in one of the cars. Deputies on scene said two adults and a child were inside the other. They said the child was not hurt.

Witnesses said the teenage girl was flown to Broward Health Medical Center. The other injured people were rushed there by ambulance.

"At first I came over and I saw the helicopter and I saw it land right in front of me and then there was an ambulance and there was cops everywhere," said Nick Taylor, a neighbor.

Deputies said the injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
