A-Rod's Cousin Gets 7 Months' Prison In Steroids Case

MIAMI (CBSMiami/AP) - The cousin of Alex Rodriguez, who was the baseball star's longtime personal assistant, has been sentenced to seven months in prison after pleading guilty on federal drug charges stemming from baseball's steroids scandal.
Yuri Sucart, 53, was sentenced by a Miami federal judge Thursday to serve six months of house arrest after his release from prison.
Sucart could later be deported to his native Dominican Republic.
Sucart is the last of eight people to plead guilty for roles in providing steroids to Rodriguez and other athletes through the Biogenesis of America clinic owned by Anthony Bosch.

The investigation triggered suspensions by Major League Baseball of 14 players, including Rodriguez for all of last season. A-Rod is back with the Yankees this year primarily as designated hitter.
