Search Underway For Woman Who Fell Overboard Off Bahamas

MIAMI (CBSMiami) --  Coast Guard crews are searching for a woman who went overboard overnight.

Authorities say Rina Patel, 32, from Interlaken, New York, was seen falling overboard at about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday about 27 miles southwest of Freeport, Bahamas.

The woman - whose name has not been released - was on the 11th deck of the Carnival Ecstasy cruise ship wearing a white dress with pink floral print.

Coast Guard crews are searching for her by air and sea.

The ship's next port of call is scheduled to be in Charleston, South Carolina on Thursday. It had previously been in Nassau, Bahamas.
