Missing Coral Springs Autistic Teen Who Can't Speak Found After Accident

CORAL SPRINGS (CBSMiami) – A Coral Springs autistic teen who can't speak and went missing Wednesday night has been found following an accident.

According to Coral Springs police, Murphy was at a Panda Express restaurant near Turtle Creek Drive and Creek Drive at around 6:40 p.m. when he went missing.

Reports had come in that he was seen traveling eastbound on Sample, past 411.

Police posted on social media for people to pay special attention in Coconut Creek and Margate.

Authorities said they found the teen after he was struck by a vehicle. Detectives said he is OK. However, since he is nonverbal, he was taken to Northwest Medical Center as a precaution.
