All this happened while 11 children were on board plus the driver around 8:30 a.m., according to Miramar Police.

"We heard a loud noise and ran outside and saw the school bus crashed," said Kimberley Russo who ran with her family to help.

The bus was near the 1800 block of S.W. 163rd Ave when it crashed in the Silver Shores neighborhood.

None of the children was seriously hurt but Russo says paramedics did take the bus driver to the hospital.

"We got all the kids off, called the parents, the principal came. The kids were shaken up but all okay," Russo said.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

"She didn't say what happened. She knew she crashed. She's at the hospital and doing okay," said Russo.

Drivers are being asked to avoid the area if possible. Click here for the latest traffic information.
