Savage: NFL Scouting Harder Now Than Ever

"I think scouting in the NFL is harder now than it's ever been," Senior Bowl Executive Director Phil Savage said on the Big O Show with Joe Zagacki at SEC Media Days, "because you are trying to project virtually every player because the proliferation of the spread across the country has not only affected offenses but it's affected defenses as well. You don't see fullbacks, you don't see inside backers, you see cover safeties."

Would Brad Kaaya be the best quarterback in the SEC?

"I tell you waht, from the snippets I've seen -- I have not studied him -- I would say absolutely he would be one of the more talented quarterbacks in this league. Because you look at it: LSU up in the air, Alabam up in the air, Auburn's got a first year starter in Jeremy Johnson ... and so that's why a guy like Brad Kaaya is going to be very attractive to the NFL once he comes of age, so to speak."
