Santa In Sand Brings Holiday Spirit To Miami Beach

MIAMI BEACH (CBSMiami) – There's been a Santa Claus sighting on Miami Beach, well sort of. It's actually Sanda Clause. He's a 6-foot tall, 11-ton sand sculpture of the man in red.
He's Miami's version of a snow man, but he's a sand man!
Sanda Clause is on display in the lobby of the Carillon Miami Beach hotel throughout the holiday season. Those coming to view the sculpture can also enjoy the holiday ambiance with hot chocolate, apple cider and freshly baked cookies.
The hotel is also offering a reading of The Polar Express on December 22nd, by none other than Santa Claus. Following the story, kids will receive a bell from Santa's sleigh and PJ's are welcome.
