Ryan Tannehill Named to NFL.com's All-Underrated Team

Armed with a beefy new contract and an upgraded receiving corps, Ryan Tannehill continues to rise as the 2015 NFL season approaches.

Today he was named as the quarterback on NFL.com's "All-Underrated Team," touted as the "easiest choice on the list."

"OK, OK; which quarterback is truly underrated?" Elliot Harrison asked. "None of the decent ones. So Tannehill gets the nod, partially because I underrated him last season. Tannehill -- who recently signed an extension with the Dolphins through 2020 -- finished fifth in completion percentage in 2014, and his passer rating has steadily gone up in each of his three seasons (76.1, 81.7 and 92.8)."

Among the most popular advanced metrics, Tannehill fared well in 2014, ranking 14th in ESPN's QBR, 12th in Football Outsiders' DYAR, and 11th in Pro Football Focus' QB grades.

Former Miami Hurricanes punter Matt Bosher was also named to the squad after a standout year with the Falcons.
