Roger Stone: Inside The World Of A Political Hitman

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) -- There are few characters quite like Roger Stone, a political operative who has been dubbed the "professional lord of mischief," a "master of right-wing hit jobs" and a "street fighter" "skilled in the dark arts of politics."

Stone was the youngest member of CREEP – Richard Nixon's infamous Committee to Re-Elect the President and has worked on numerous presidential campaigns over the past 40 years.

Today he is working to elect his longtime friend, Donald Trump, promising "Days of Rage" in Cleveland during the Republican National Convention if party leaders try to "steal" the nomination from Trump.

CBS4's Jim DeFede has known Stone for years and visited him recently at his office in a nondescript building in an industrial section of Oakland Park that houses his collection of Nixon memorabilia.

Stone says the only thing worse in politics than being wrong is being boring and as you will see, Stone refuses to be boring – no matter what it takes.
