Road Ranger Struck And Killed While Assisting Disabled Vehicle

BOCA RATON (CBSMiami) – A Road Ranger was struck and killed by a moving vehicle as he assisted a disabled vehicle on the side of I-95 northbound lanes south of Palmetto Park Road.

The Road Ranger had stopped to assist the disabled vehicle and was standing on the east shoulder, at the driver's side door.  He was speaking with the owner of the disabled vehicle when another vehicle struck him and the broken down vehicle before fleeing the scene.

The hit and run vehicle is described as a silver or gray SUV type.  It exited at Palmetto Park Road in Boca Raton and should have front and right side damage.
