Coast Guard Searching For Missing Diver Off Fort Lauderdale

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – Fort Lauderdale Ocean Rescue searched for a missing diver Saturday afternoon.

According to officials, three recreational divers went into the water one mile east of Fort Lauderdale, but only two surfaced.

A rescue boat was on the water looking for the diver, but ended the search without success around 8 p.m.

The scene unfolded in the area of Ocean Drive and Oakland Park Boulevard just before 5 p.m.

Missing is Marc Raroha, 45, from Pompano Beach, Florida.

Coast Guard assisted with the search and took over the search for Fort Lauderdale Ocean Rescue.

Ft. Lauderdale Police, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Committee and Broward County Sheriff's deputies assisted in the response.
