Reports: Miami Dolphins Release Brian Hartline
The Miami Dolphins receiving corps is going to look a bit different next year.
As the team figures out what to do with Mike Wallace and his goliath salary, the team has decided to release Brian Hartline Friday morning, according to multiple reports.
The Dolphins will save $5.9 million in cash and at least $3.2 million cap space, according to the Miami Herald.
After two consecutive 1,000-yard seasons, Hartline's numbers regressed in 2014, finishing with 39 receptions, 474 yards and two touchdowns as rookie Jarvis Landry developed into Ryan Tannehill's highest targeted receiver.
The move could be in an effort to free up cap space for impending free agents like defensive tackle Jared Odrick and tight end Charles Clay.
