Report: Zoran Dragic Traded to Boston Celtics

Zoran Dragic has been traded to the Boston Celtics, the team announced early Monday afternoon.

The Heat reportedly have attached a second-round pick with Dragic and will receive a "heavily-protected" 2019 second-rounder. Many assumed Zoran was a lock for a roster spot because his brother, Goran, is the Heat's starting point guard.

What's interesting is the Heat is also paying Zoran's $1.7 million salary.

This comes a day after the team shipped Shabazz Napier to Orlando for what likely will amount to nothing in return. Zoran Dragic played sparingly last season, appearing in 16 games while averaging 4.7 minutes.

The team likely is not finished cutting salary, with multiple outlets reporting they're trying hard to trade Mario Chalmers and his $4.3 million salary.

The Miami Heat's roster essentially stands at 16 when factoring in unsigned rookie second-round pick Josh Richardson, one more than the maximum allowed for the regular season.
