Report: Knowshon Moreno Visiting Fins Friday

DAVIE (CBSMiami) - The Miami Dolphins want to upgrade the running back position after Lamar Miller and Daniel Thomas struggled to produce offense last year.

The Fins will bring in a possible replacement for a visit Friday when Knowshon Moreno comes to town, according to CBS4 news partner the Miami Herald.

Moreno is just 26-years-old and coming off his best NFL season after being a first-round draft pick several years ago. Moreno ran 241 times for 1,038 yards and caught another 60 passes for 548 yards.

While Moreno isn't necessarily a big back like the Fins need, he showed last year that he is a much more capable back than either Miller or Thomas.

According to CBS4 news partner the Miami Herald, under new general manager Dennis Hickey, almost every player who has visited the team has signed on to become a Dolphin. The only exception is linebacker D'Qwell Jackson, who visited before free agency began.
