Report: Jameis Winston Will Face Hearing

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston was notified Friday that he will face a disciplinary hearing regarding charges about whether he sexually assaulted an FSU student in 2012.

ESPN reports, the letter was sent to Winston and his attorney.

According to ESPN, FSU officials told Winston, in the letter, he could be charged with as many as four violations of FSU's student conduct code. Two of those would involve sexual conduct.

Officials with FSU reportedly have identified three individuals outside the university willing to hear the case.

Currently, FSU is under investigation by the Department of Education's Office of Civil Rights to determine whether the university properly protected the woman's Title IX rights after accusing Winston of sexually assaulting her December 7, 2012.

The state's district attorney had declined to pursue criminal charges against Winston.

ESPN said Winston or FSU officials were not available for comment.
