Report: Incognito Receiving Professional Mental Help

PHOENIX (CBSMiami) - The downward spiral of former Miami Dolphins offensive lineman Richie Incognito may have been stopped after a bizarre incident involving his car Thursday.

According to NFL.com's Jeff Darlington, Incognito has "accepted professional help in wake of severe mental stress from Wells report."

Darlington tweeted, "Incognito is currently being treated at a facility in Arizona after what has been some very stressful times for him & those closest to him."

Incognito has been portrayed as a bully by the Wells report and some media accounts. He was cited by the Wells Report as leading the harassment of teammate Jonathan Martin and others.

Since the Wells Report came out a few weeks ago, Incognito has largely been out of the spotlight, until Thursday. His Ferrari was smashed by a baseball bat Thursday morning and then it was revealed he was the one who smashed his own car with a bat.

It has also been reported that Incognito's mom and dad are going through a divorce and that the former lineman financially supports his family.
