Stein lists Beno Udrih as a player who could be among those sent back to the Heat.
Chalmers is due $4.3 million this season and figures to be expendable with a younger, cheaper, and potentially more promising option at guard in Tyler Johnson.
Chalmers is averaging 6.7 points and 3.0 assists this season, shooting 42 percent from the field and 20 percent from three.
