Report: Fins Set To Interview Giants Exec. For GM Job

DAVIE (CBSMiami) – The Miami Dolphins haven't released an official list of candidates for the vacant general manager job, but according to Newsday.com, a New York Giants executive is going to interview in Davie.

Giants vice-president of player evaluation Marc Ross is set to be interviewed soon by the Dolphins. In addition to the Dolphins, Ross is expected to interview for the general manager position with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Dolphins need a general manager after parting ways with the team's G.M. of the last five years, Jeff Ireland, on Tuesday.

Ross has been with the Giants since 2007, but has a long history of scouting and player development dating back to the late 1990's.

Ross has helped lead the Giants to the drafting of Hakeem Nicks, William Beatty, Kenny Phillips, Mario Manningham, Jason Pierre-Paul, Linval Joseph, Prince Amukamara, Reuben Randle, and Justin Pugh.
