Report: Dolphins Could Be Raiders' Primary Competition for Jim Harbaugh

The Miami Dolphins fell to the Baltimore Ravens 28-13 on Sunday, dropping to 7-6 on the season with three games remaining. Although they're now on the outside looking in for a playoff spot in the highly competitive AFC, they've been listed along with the Raiders as the top potential suitors for Jim Harbaugh.

Even before Miami's loss to Baltimore, when the team stood at 7-5, a CBS Sports report tagged Miami and Oakland as the top teams listed in the trade market for the 49ers head coach, who still has another season remaining on his contract. Although the report mentioned the nearby Raiders as "his most serious suitor," it also said Stephen Ross and the Dolphins could end up being their "primary competition."

This comes a week after an anonymous NFL executive picked the Dolphins to land Harbaugh if they were to miss the playoffs for the third consecutive year in Joe Philbin's tenure. Miami's path increases in difficulty next week on the road against the sizzling New England Patriots, winning seven of their last eight heading into tonight's matchup with the Chargers.
