MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist is expected to announce Tuesday that he will run for Congress, Politico reported Friday.

A release from Kevin Cate, a PR consultant who worked on Crist's failed 2014 bid for governor, says Crist will make a "major announcement" Tuesday morning in St. Petersburg.
