MIAMI (CBSMiami) - While he didn't exactly run like a 'bat out of hell," a rehabbed turtle nicknamed Meat Loaf did make a bee line for the water when he was released back into the wild on Tuesday.

The juvenile endangered green sea turtle, which had fishing line wrapped around its neck and both flippers, was found by a fisherman in Biscayne National Park. On August 1st it was brought to the Miami Seaquarium for treatment and care.

After a little more than a month of bona fide TLC, Meat Loaf successfully recovered and now weighs about two and half pounds.

Seaquarium workers released him into the waters off Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park Tuesday morning near the lighthouse.
