MIAMI (CBSMiami) – It's finally Friday but the end of the week is not bringing an end to the rain just yet.

Locally heavy rain will continue through the first half of the day, mainly across southern sections of metro Broward, and much of metro Miami-Dade.

As the rain totals add up, the wind has also picked up in speed with wind gusts over 30 mph at times.

There is a Small Craft Advisory in place through Friday evening.

The rip current risk is also high as the east-northeast wind keeps kicking.

So when will this messy weather be gone?

Just in time for the weekend.

The relentless rain will move out thanks to a push of drier, cooler air to our north which will be delivered just in time for the weekend.

Saturday highs will be in the low 80s and lows in the upper 60s on Saturday and Sunday nights.
