MIAMI (CBSMiami) - A stormy Tuesday and wet start to Wednesday have drenched South Florida.

Some places, especially areas near Alligator Alley, have gotten more than four inches of rain.

Wednesday and Thursday will see more showers and thunderstorms.

CBS4 meteorologist Nicole Mitchell says there is still enough instability in the atmosphere that a few of the storms could be strong, with isolated severe weather possible. Some storms will have heavy downpours, gusty winds and could cause flooding.

On Friday, thunderstorm chances diminish slightly, but more active weather is possible again this weekend.

Highs will remain near 90 and it will stay humid through the weekend. Overnight lows stay in the mid to upper 70s.
