Quinn: Tannehill 'Can Throw a Deep Ball'; Guarantees Improvement in 2015

After Ryan Tannehill received a lucrative contract extension this week potentially worth $96 million, chatter shifted to what areas he needs to improve upon for next season.

Much has been made about the perceived inability to connect on the deep ball, something former quarterback and current NFL analyst Brady Quinn thinks is overblown.

"That's not the case," Quinn said on the Joe Rose Show. "He can throw a deep ball. We're gonna see that this year. I guarantee he'll start hooking up with his wide receivers down the field more often than not and that perception will go away as success continues to build in his career."

Meanwhile, Tannehill ranked 13th in the NFL in accuracy percentage (38%) last season on balls targeted 20 yards or more. This was before the team added downfield weapons in Kenny Stills and DeVante Parker.
