MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- A scary discovery at a South Florida park prompted an investigation by wildlife officials.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue were seen in a video capturing an 8 to 9-foot python on Sunday.

The snake was discovered in the mangroves at Matheson Hammock Park located at 9610 Old Cutler Road.
