MIAMI LAKES (CBSMiami) – Students and faculty at a South Florida school celebrated over a unique promise a principal made and kept.

Principal James Parker loves his full head of salt and pepper hair and signature mustache to match. But for his school Miami Lakes Educational Center and Technical College, he'll do just about anything.

"I've got a great, awesome teaching team here that works together. We're a big family. We've got wonderful students," Principal Parker. So to celebrate the school achieving an "A" rating, he gave his students a sweet reward.

They got to shave all of his hair off.

This isn't the first time Parker's done it. It's actually now a familiar scene.

"It's become a tradition here at this school every year that we get an "A," so we've been an "A" school seven consecutive years… Eight times altogether," said Principal Parker.

With the hair piled on the floor once again. It's time for that victory lap.
