Power Restored On South Beach, Key Biscayne

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - An inauspicious start to Mothers Day on South Beach and sections of Key Biscayne when residents and business owners found themselves in the dark.

A transformer malfunctioned leaving both water front areas without any power, according to CBS4 news partner The Miami Herald.

Joe's Stone Crab temporarily shutdown on what is normally one of its busiest days of the year.

Florida Power and Light crews were able to get the lights back on just after noon.
