Police: Warrant Issued For Man Connected To Officer-Involved Shooting

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Police have issued an arrest warrant for a convicted felon they said is connected to an officer-involved shooting from last Tuesday.

Miami-Dade Police released a flyer on Thursday urging citizens to be on the lookout for 24-year-old Howard Arom Morraz.

Morraz is wanted for one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in connection to an officer-involved shooting at an apartment complex at 132nd St. and NE 7th Ave.

According to Miami-Dade Police, detectives responded to an apartment shortly after 7 p.m. following up on an investigation of a shooting that occurred recently.

When detectives located the person they were looking for, Marvin Arroliga, he reportedly opened fire.

Arroliga was shot by police was taken to Aventura Hospital. The 22-year-old later died from his wounds.

Further investigation by police revealed Morraz is Arroliga's brother.
