Police: Teen Arrested In Deadly Miami Gardens Shooting

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Police have arrested a teen for allegedly shooting and killing two men at a Miami Gardens park.

The alleged shooter has been identified at 18-year-old Trayvontae Saunders. He is being charged with second-degree murder with a deadly weapon and attempted second-degree murder with a deadly weapon and aggravated battery.

Miami Gardens Police said they responded to a shooting at 10:47 p.m. on Friday at Rolling Oaks Park 18701 N.W. 17th Ave.

They found two men shot inside the park. One of the men died at the scene and the other died after being airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital.

According to police, Saunders fled on foot after the shooting.

Saunders is being held without bond.
