Police Searching For Driver In Early Morning Fatal Hit And Run

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A man in his late 40's was pronounced dead after being hit by a car that fled the scene early Sunday morning.

The victim was seen crossing the street at a slow rate of speed just before he was fatally hit.

According to Miami-Dade Police the victim had Cerebral Palsy.

Authorities are still searching for the suspect who is said to be driving a small, dark colored vehicle that should have heavy front end damage.

The incident took place near NW 47th Street and 32nd Avenue, which police says is a well-lit roadway.

The victim had just left a 24-hour supermarket before he was hit.
