Police: Retired Judge Robbed While Getting Out Of Car

MIAMI SHORES (CBSMiami/The Miami Herald) – A retired judge was reportedly robbed at gunpoint while getting out of his car late Tuesday afternoon, detectives said.

According to CBS4 news partner, The Miami Herald, Scott Silverman, was unharmed, but the robber made off with some of his personal property.

Silverman spent more than two decades on the Miami-Dade bench and retired in 2012.

Silverman spent seven of his nearly 22 years on the bench as a criminal circuit court judge. He was also the official historian for Miami's Eleventh Judicial Circuit. He is now a mediator.
