MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Miami-Dade police have identified and charged a man in a deadly shooting near a Southwest Miami-Dade nursery.

On Friday, police said 49-year-old Luis Enrique Castillo is facing charges of 2nd-degree murder, attempted murder and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

The shooting happened Thursday in the area of 200 Street and SW 198 Avenue at around 4:30 p.m.

Police spent a second day combing the scene and collecting evidence where they said Castillo shot three people, killing two of them.

Authorities have not released the names of the two people killed.

At last check, the injured victim, who not been identified, was in critical condition.

On the day of the shooting, Chopper4 spotted a man walking through farm fields.

The man had apparently ditched the car nearby.

Nearly 45 minutes after the shooting, police caught up with the man, who wanted to turn himself in.

Investigators have been questioning family over the relationship of the men and what led up to the shooting.

Police said it's too soon to determine a motive in the shooting.

Workers from a nearby nursery told CBS4's Hank Tester that two of the victims are husband and wife, and the husband owns the nursery.

Castillo will appear in bond court on Saturday.
