Missing Davie Brothers Found Safe

DAVIE (CBSMiami) -  Three missing Davie brothers have been found safe and sound.

Kyle, 14, Jon, 11, and Zachary, 10, were found sitting on a curb of a road by the BB&T Center in Sunrise late Tuesday morning. Police have not said how they got there.

They were last seen hanging out on the back porch of their home at 1296 SW 115th Way around 5:30 p.m. Monday.

Police searched for the boys late into the evening and early Tuesday morning but couldn't find them. Also Tuesday morning detectives went to the boys' school to see if they could get an idea of where they may be.

The boy's mother, Jessica Hedrick, said they were acting up Monday when she was cooking dinner.  She said she yelled at them and told them to go outside.

"I was trying to cook dinner, they were being chaotic.  Within about 30 minutes I realized that I didn't hear them outside acting crazy.  When I looked they weren't there so I figured they took it upon themselves to maybe go to the park, go fishing, go to a friend's house, and figured that they would come back. Seven o' clock turned into eight o' clock turned into nine o' clock and nothing.  We called the police," said Hedrick.  "I'm afraid, I'm scared that something has happened to one of them and that the other two don't know what to do, that they are afraid now, at this point, to come home."

Hedrick said Kyle has a history of running away but he's never been gone this long. She added that Zach has asthma and didn't have his inhaler when the boys left.

Hedrick said she's happy that they were found safe but is still upset and, "obviously there are things we have to work on."
