ST. AUGUSTINE (CBSMiami/AP) — Police believe a man was targeted and killed outside a northeast Florida condominium complex because he had autism and the shooters wanted his car.

Authorities in St. Augustine says three suspected shooters arrested Wednesday saw 36-year-old Carl Starke at a Walmart and followed him home to take his vehicle.

Starke was fatally shot in the chest on Tuesday night outside his condo complex, where he lived with his mother.

Police say two teens were arrested and charged with murder.

The arrests followed a police chase that led to crash on Wednesday.

A third suspect, who was not identified, is in a hospital recovering from injuries from the car crash. Police are also seeking two other juveniles.
