Police: Missing South Florida Man Spotted In Jacksonville

MIAMI BEACH (CBSMiami) – A 24-year-old South Florida man, reported missing for two weeks, was spotted in Jacksonville.

According to Miami Beach Police, Jorge David Reyes attended the crowdfunding festival One Spark held in Jacksonville.

Reyes was last seen riding Jacksonville's public transportation system STAR, similar to South Florida's Metromover, on April 13th at 2:30 am.

Miami Beach police released videos and photos from Reyes on the STAR.

It's not known why he hasn't contacted his family.

His father was frantic for answers on Monday when he passed out flyers in Miami Beach in the search for his son.

The younger Reyes was last seen in South Florida at the Lost Weekend Bar on the 200 block of Espanola Way and then at The Five Guys Burger and Fries restaurant on Washington Avenue on Monday, April 7th.

Monday, police said Reyes had "just broken up with his girlfriend, just lost his job, and because of that, he turned to alcohol and drugs which is a concern to us and the family," according to Vivian Thayer of the  Miami Beach Police Department.
