Police: Man Sexually Battered 13-Year-Old Girl After Offering Her Ride Home

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The Miami-Dade Police Department said they arrested a 30-year-old man who offered a 13-year-old girl a ride home only to rape her.
Miguel Rodriguez is facing one count of exhibition on a child and one count of sexual battery on a minor by an adult.
According to the arrest report, the 13-year-old victim was walking from a bus stop on September 13th when an unknown older man asked her if she wanted a lift.
The girl told police the suspect exposed his genitals and began to fondled himself while she was in the car.
The report states the man then drove to the girl to a wooded area at SW 360 St. and SW 180 Ave. where he raped her.
The girl was given a photographic lineup where she identified Rodriguez.
Rodriguez was arrested and taken to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
