Police Investigated Suspicious Package In Downtown Miami

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - A suspicious package near the government center in downtown Miami prompted a police investigation.

NW 1st and NW 2nd Avenues and NW 1st and NW 2nd Streets were closed for the investigation.

Miami Dade College's Wolfson Campus Building 5 and parking garage were on lockdown due to police activity and a perimeter they established.

People were urged to avoid the area. Just before noon, the scene was cleared.
