Police Identify Victim Shot In Pembroke Pines Carjacking

PEMBROKE PINES (CBSMiami) – Authorities have identified the man shot in a Pembroke Pines carjacking.

It all happened at around 4:45 p.m. Monday at the Hampton Isles Condominium Complex at 10625 SW 6th Street.

A resident said she saw a man approach the victim, who was inside his vehicle.

"All I saw was a gun. He was like about 5'9", a white male," she said.  "And I run in the house and told my daughter to call the police."

When officers arrived, they found the victim – who police have identified as Bilal Saleh – suffering from a gunshot wound.

Witnesses told police the assailant got away in Saleh's 2012 dark gray, four-door Chevy Malibu with Florida tag BKS W83.

The whereabouts of the Saleh's vehicle are still unknown at this time.

Saleh was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
