Police Identify Driver In SW Miami-Dade Hit & Run

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The Miami-Dade Police Department is asking for the community's help in catching a hit-and-run driver who left a motorcyclist in critical condition.

Authorities are searching for 36-year-old Eladio Garcia who has not been seen since the day of the crash.

The accident occurred on Thursday when 21-year-old Moshe Moll was driving his Yamaha motorcycle down SW 112th Avenue northbound.

Investigators said when Moll reached SW 44th Street he was slammed into by Garcia who was driving a stolen white Chevy Tahoe. Garcia then crashed into the residence at 4130 SW 107th Place.

Police said Garcia fled on foot in an unknown direction.

Moll remains hospitalized.
