TAMPA, Fla. (CBSMiami/AP) —A man allegedly slammed into an ambulance near Tampa General Hospital while intoxicated.

Tampa Police say 41-year-old Elliott Ingram was arrested Tuesday on a charge of driving under the influence with injury.

According to police, Ingram was driving a minivan on the Davis Island bridge when he struck the ambulance. The Americare employees aboard the ambulance were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Authorities say Ingram showed signs of being impaired.

It isn't immediately clear if Ingram had an attorney.
