KISSIMMEE (CBSMiami/AP) – A crash that killed a man, his girlfriend and their two children last year, police say, was not an accident.

Ulysses Montero, on December 23, committed suicide when he drove his car into a retention pond on Valencia College's Osceola campus, Kissimmee police said Wednesday. Also killed were Julie Lopez-Elias, 24, and their children, 4-year-old Julissa and 5-day-old Dlias.

The Orlando Sentinel ( http://bit.ly/1DZqZ4T ) reports an autopsy listed Montero's death as a suicide and the deaths of his girlfriend and children as homicides. Their 6-year-old was not in the car.

Kissimmee police spokeswoman Stacie Miller says it was determined that the driver's "actions were deliberate and not accidental."
