Police: Couple Named Persons Of Interest In Sedanos Burglary

HIALEAH (CBSMiami) – Hialeah police are searching for a man and woman who were seen allegedly tampering with an alarm the same day there was a burglary at the location.

At around 4:08 p.m. on Sunday, August 17th, police said a couple of interest was spotted at the Sedanos Supermarket located at 3140 W 76 St.

Surveillance footage showed the man using an umbrella to reportedly deactivate the alarm motion detector in front of the Crisalys Jewelry Corp. kiosk store inside Sedanos.

Police said later in the evening the jewelry store was robbed of $90,000 worth of merchandise.

The jewelry store is independently owned and the space is leased from Sedanos.

Authorities believe the alarm was damaged in preparation for the burglary.
