Police Continue To Search For Missing Hialeah Man

HIALEAH (CBSMiami) -- Authorities continue to search for a missing elderly man from Hialeah Gardens who was last seen days ago.

Gilberto Hernandez, 79, was last seen by his son on Wednesday, June 4th just after 6:00 a.m. He was wearing a pair of blue jeans and a green or grey shirt.

Hialeah Gardens Police say he suffers from Alzheimer and has lately become more forgetful.

He has a curved right hand and a limp on the right leg, according to detectives.

His family says Hernandez lives in Hialeah Gardens and rides the Metro Bus to a supermarket located at 3901 Palm Avenue. He is also known to travel throughout the Miami-Dade area using public transportation.

The police is asking for the public's help to locate him. Anyone with information is urged to call the Hialeah Gardens Police Department at  (305) 558-3333.
