"Suspicious" Box Outside Miami Beach High Rendered Safe

MIAMI BEACH (CBSMiami) - Miami Beach police checked out a 'suspicious item' outside Miami Beach Senior High Tuesday morning.

The box, which was left near the bus loop, was rendered safe around 10 AM, according to Miami Beach Police.

According to police the box was empty.

The school's students and staff were kept inside the school.

Dade Boulevard between Meridian Avenue and Washington Avenue was closed to traffic and pedestrians.
