DAYTONA BEACH (CBMiami/AP) — Two Bethune-Cookman University students are dead stemming from a alleged dispute over rent.

A third was critically injured in Thursday's shooting, and police say a fourth person escaped injury by jumping out a window after struggling with the alleged gunman.

Police Chief Mike Chitwood says 27-year-old York Bodden had been the victims' roommates, but they wanted him to leave and offered to refund him $200. Chitwood says Bodden argued with them, then left the apartment.

According to police, Bodden later returned with a gun and shot the victims at point blank range. State law enforcement officials say Bodden was arrested Friday in North Miami. He faces charges of first-degree murder and aggravated assault

There have been several Bethune-Cookman students wounded in shootings in the last seven months.
