MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Chef Nunzio Fuschillo of Bocce Ristorante in Midtown showed CBS4's Lisa Petrillo how to make fresh-pulled mozzarella—a true art, rarely done these days.

"It's all about temperature and proportion with the salt," Chef said.

Nunzio has been pulling mozzarella since he was a young boy in Naples. On the day Nunzio was named Executive Chef at Bocce, he brought a little bit of the boot country in to Midtown Miami.

"Bocce is all about authenticity. I come from Italy and it's my first job in Miami so I come straight from Italy to Bocce," Nunzio said.

Bocce itself is one of the oldest games played by the Romans and it is front-and-center at this trendy yet traditional spot.

"I think if you come with a group of friends and play bocce outside, I think it's great," Chef said.

And when it comes to the food everything, is made from scratch.

Upstairs in the pasta room, the tagliatella pasta is rolled out. Downstairs the vibe is friendly, romantic and fun.

"There is a difference between seeming Italian and doing Italian. This is how you find a restaurant in Italy. It's like a home. We make people feel like home," he said.

On the menu: anything and everything Italian.

First dish for tasting was the chef's favorite mozzarella and tomato.

"I come from Naples so tomato, basil, mozzarella and olive oil is a must. You can't go wrong," Chef Nunzio said.

Petrillo took a taste.

"It's so smooth, so fresh and on a hot day and night, it hits the spot," she said.

Next, Beets Ravioli which is soft roasted beets with fresh goat cheese placed inside the ravioli. Petrillo said the dish looked like a painting.

"This could be a dessert or an entree there's sweetness with the beets and the goat cheese is so decadent. Oh My God this is delicious," Petrillo said.

And finally, lamb meatballs, with a dollop of goat cheese in the middle.

"It's fluffy and light and the sauce has a sweetness and the goat cheese gives it a special kick. That is delicious," Petrillo said.

Bocce Ristorante, where fabulous food and a fun atmosphere makes for a delicious game-night out.
