PLANTATION (CBSMiami) – The Plantation Police Department released surveillance video they hope leads to the capture of a shooter who killed a man outside an apartment complex.

The shooting happened at around 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Hamlet Apartment complex located at 4681 NW 10th Court.

Edward Williams, 32, was hit twice. He was rushed to Broward General Hospital where he died in surgery.

The suspect fled the parking lot in a gold Chevrolet Impala, and was last seen travelling northbound on NW 47th Avenue into the City of Lauderhill.

Police said Williams knew his assailant and that this was not a random act.

However, a motive for the shooting is undetermined at this time.

If you have any information that can help police, please contact Broward Crime Stoppers at (954) 493-TIPS.
